1.Born in the USA (Bruce Springsteen)
布魯斯．史布林斯汀(Bruce Springsteen)，暱稱工人皇帝(the Boss) 在1984年發行這首歌。歌詞的意義是反戰，但是，因為音樂太激昂，也曾被當年的雷根拿來作為競選總統的歌曲，最後這首歌被很多人誤解為『美國人自越戰吃鱉後，重返光榮大道』的進行曲。歌詞借一位越戰退伍軍人的口吻，說出當年美國藍領階級，在社會上的封閉、落後(第一段歌詞)；還有美國社會將越戰的失敗、損失引以為恥。因此，越戰士兵在退伍回國後，在社會上普遍不被認同，找工作、生活都困難重重。
布魯斯．史布林斯汀1949年生於美國紐澤西州。他自創一派搖滾樂(Heartland Rock)，以強烈的節奏，詩般的歌詞，描寫藍領階級在美國社會如何討生活，也常含有批判社會的元素。
