Making Love Out of Nothing At All---明明每個字都認識..但上面的翻譯讀來就深感辭不達意....一切成空..合起來變成..愛已成空..那就是沒愛ㄌ..整首歌詞意思就兜不起來..ㄏㄏ
以下這段翻譯好像比較有理..但又與一般解釋不同..ㄏㄏ..有無英文高手請來確認一下
Make something A out of something B， 是說用 B 來做成 A 。所以“ Making love out of nothing at all”， 它似乎應該是說那份愛是憑空而來的，沒有太多理由的，憑空而生的。整首歌合理解釋的大意是，“我”在生活中是個強者，似乎對一切都瞭如指掌，明白所有的遊戲規則，感情上亦是掌握得恰到好處，游刃有餘，收放自如。可是 “我” 卻遇到了 “你”，我為你迷失，在你面前我無能為力，我願意徹底臣服，只換取與你相守。我無法理解這樣憑空而生的愛，毫無緣由，不知從何而來。

故事緣起:
一九七一年十月十四日《紐約郵報》(New York Post)刊登了一個故事，
故事的名字叫《回家》(Going Home)：
長途車上坐著一位沉默不語的男子，在同車的年輕遊客的盤問下終於開了口。原來他剛從監獄出來，釋放前曾寫信給妻子：如果她已另有歸宿，他也不責怪她；如果她還愛著他，願意他回去，就在鎮口的老橡樹上繫一根黃絲帶；如果沒有黃絲帶，他就會隨車而去，永遠不會去打擾她……
汽車快到目的地了，車上的人們都盡量坐著站著在靠近窗戶旁往外看，只有這位男子不敢張望，他害怕迎面而來的可能是失望……突然間，全車的人都沸騰起來：遠遠望去，鎮口的老橡樹上掛了上百條以上的黃絲帶，這些黃絲帶像歡迎的旗幟般迎風飄揚……
這個故事刊出不久，很快就出現了這首不朽的音樂作品。這個動人的故事被寫成了歌曲 Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round The Ole Oak Tree(老橡樹上的黃絲帶)，伴著歌聲這個故事也傳遍了全世界。
一九八○年，六十六名在「伊朗人質事件」中被挾持的美國人被釋放，美國人也以繫黃絲帶歡迎他們回國。黃絲帶也成了美國「歡迎被囚禁的人重獲自由」的標誌。
